NT artifacts
New Testament artifacts, such as fragments of Greek biblical manuscripts, catacomb frescoes, oil lamps and sarcophagi, etc., are significant examples of Christian art and architecture. These objects not only bear witness to the culture and religion of the time, but are also used to confirm details about the life of Jesus Christ and the early Church. For example, frescoes in the catacombs depict biblical events and historical figures, offering a glimpse into daily life at the time of Jesus. Archaeologically speaking, gold-backed glassware with images is also valuable, as it dates back to the time of persecution and depicts a variety of subjects. Christian sarcophagi with bas-reliefs, although less ancient, are less important for archaeology, but they form another class of figurative monuments.
